How do you 'do'?

Venture into the men's grooming section of the supermarket or pharmacy you'll find enough styling products to sink a ship. Haircare is no longer a case of wash n wear – there are now more ways than ever to tease, tame or tuft your hair.
Fashion yourself a top crop instead of a bad mop with the Regaine® Guide to Goo.

  Mousse
A good option for adding volume. Can be used on wet hair for a sleek, shiny wet look or dry hair to help you shape and sculpt with a more natural finish.

Doing your do
   Always shake the bottle first
Rub a small amount between your hands and ruffle it evenly through your hair
Style however you like and leave to dry or use a hairdryer for firmer hold
Tips for your top
Don't scrimp on price – cheaper brands can leave your hair feeling sticky
Do experiment with different brands for the best effects
  Gel
The old favourite. Ideal for styling, moulding and keeping your hair in place all day long.

Doing your do
Rub the gel into towel dry hair using both hands
   Style
For firm hold, use a hair dryer or for a glossier look, leave it to nature
Tips for your top
Good quality gels can moisturise and condition your hair, while bad ones can dry it out. Choose wisely!
  Pomade/wax
Perfect for the messy look but also good for other short and medium length styles. The waxy substance lets you mould, shape and create texture, while conditioning and adding shine.

Doing your do
Rub a small amount between your fingers until soft
Work it evenly through the hair you're going to mould, from root to tip
   Style
Tips for your top
Don't use too much – it can easily leave you looking like a greaseball
  Hairspray
Not just for old ladies. Use it for styling on wet hair or to hold dry hair in place. It can also make your hair appear thicker and add shine.

Doing your do
   Shake the bottle/canister
Spray it evenly over your hair
If using it on wet hair, you can choose whether or not to blow dry
Tips for your top
Some sprays can stink so choose a less pungent variety
Don't use too much or it'll make your hair look crunchy and dry
Use your head
Different brands give different results so if one doesn't work for you, don't rule out that product completely. Keep experimenting until you find something that works. A good hairdresser should be able to provide some expert advice and they might even be willing to give you a hands on demonstration.
May the follicles be with you!
