Minoxidil is the active ingredient in Regaine and it helps to promote hair regrowth in 4 ways:

Ensure both the hair and scalp are completely dry before applying REGAINE
Choose an appropriate applicator to apply the solution
Apply a 1ml dose of the solution to the affected areas
Lightly massage the solution.
Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the solution
