If you respond to using Regaine® for Women, your initial regrowth may at first be soft, downy hair and may be barely visible. After further treatment with Regaine® for Women, your regrowth may change and become the same colour and thickness as the rest of your hair.

No. Regaine® for Women Once A Day Scalp Foam may begin to melt into a liquid from contact if your fingers are warm. To stop this from happening, rinse your fingers in cold water first before dispensing and be sure to dry them thoroughly before handling the foam.

Regaine® for Women Solution is one of the Regaine® products to help regrow hair that has been lost as a result of hereditary hair loss. 

Follow these 5 steps TWICE a day  to ensure that the solution is applied correctly: 

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before applying Regaine® for Women Solution. 

  2. Ensure both the hair and scalp are completely dry before applying Regaine® for Women Solution. 

  3. Choose one of the applicators and dispense a 1ml dose to the total affected area. 

  4. Massage the solution lightly into the affected areas of the scalp. 

  5. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the solution.

Regaine® for Women Once a Day Scalp Foamis one of the products that Regaine® offers to help regrow hair that has been lost as a result of hereditary hair loss. It’s designed to dissolve into the scalp and be easily absorbed. 

Follow these five steps,  ONCE a day  to ensure that the foam is applied correctly: 

  1. Wash your hands thoroughly before applying Regaine® for Women Once a Day Scalp Foam. 

  2. Ensure both the hair and scalp are completely dry before applying Regaine®  for Women Once a Day Scalp Foam. 

  3. Hold the can upside down and press the nozzle to dispense foam onto fingers. The total amount of foam should not exceed 1g (1/2 capful). 

  4. Massage the foam lightly into the affected areas of the scalp. 

  5. Wash your hands thoroughly after applying the foam.

You can follow your normal hair care routine when using Regaine ® for Women Scalp Foam. Just be sure to apply Regaine ® for Women Foam first and wait for it to dry before using a blow dryer or applying your styling products.

Yes. As soon as the foam is dry, you can blow-dry your hair. However, we recommend using your dryer at a lower setting.

Women’s Hair Loss FAQs

There are no specific conditioners or shampoos for hair loss that we’d recommend. However, when using Regaine ® for Women Foam, it‘s  recommended to use a shampoo with a gentle cleansing and conditioning action.

There are different types of hair loss in women:

  • Stress, diet and hormone imbalance 

  • Alopecia Areata / Auto-immune disorder 

If you experience alopecia areata/auto-immune disorder or stress-, diet- or hormone imbalance-related hair loss, consult your doctor for treatment.

According to the British Association of Dermatologists, it’s normal to lose anywhere from 30 to 150 strands of hair per day. Since there are on average 100,000 hair follicles on each person’s scalp, the loss of 150 or so hair strands a day doesn’t make a big difference in appearance.

Yes. Losing hair after pregnancy (postpartum hair loss) is normal. Postpartum hair loss happens due to changing hormone levels after pregnancy. While losing hair after pregnancy can be distressing, postpartum hair loss isn’t permanent, so your hair should return to its normal growth pattern over time.
